It's important to have the big picture of what will occur in this cycle. Let's begin by looking at the lesson you will develop.
Directions
Interdisciplinary Lesson #2 Description
You will create a lesson in which students:
Identify an authentic, open-ended, community-based problem. The problem will focus on an issue identified within the local community.
Take part in a student-centered, student-driven, interdisciplinary lesson (2 or more subject areas will be included in the lesson) in which the students identify a problem, the criteria and constraints, and possible solutions.
Use data to present a claim based on evidence and reasoning.
Develop a digital story to share their problem identification, how data was used, and the solution process.
Use advanced technology - if and/or when appropriate in the development of a solution.
Things to be mindful of:
This lesson may take 5 or more class periods.
It must be implemented by the cohort’s session 221.
